Heckler & Koch gunsmith - Bribery of public officials?

The offices of arms company Heckler & Koch, as well as private rooms
have been searched on suspicion of bribery of public officials on
Thursday in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The weapons manufacturers will since
late 2005 have provided weapons of war without an export license to
the police authorities of four Mexican states.

On suspicion of bribery of public officials are on Thursday raided
premises in Baden-Wuerttemberg of the arms company Heckler & Koch, as
well as private rooms. Managers of the company is alleged to have
bribed officials for several years in Mexico donations of cash, in
order to gain supply contracts for weapons, said the prosecutor in
Stuttgart.

In addition, there was an initial suspicion that may have been bribed
in this context in Germany officials. Background of the searches,
according to prosecutors arms shipments to Mexico are the weapons
manufacturer in the years 2005 to 2010.

A company spokeswoman confirmed on DAPD inquiry, that there have been
searches. They initially wanted to give an opinion but do not.

Already in December 2010, the business premises of the company, based
in Oberndorf, Baden-Württemberg Rottweil district had been searched.
The weapons manufacturers will since late 2005 have provided weapons

dictator Muammar al-Gaddafi said to have delivered.

Heckler & Koch produces pistols, machine guns, assault rifles, sniper
